Tamiya Small Dia. Low Friction Low-Profile Tires (26mm) & Carbon Wheels (Fin)(15534)

A set of low-friction low-profile tires with lower grip than even Tamiya's super hard tire compounds, paired with carbon fiber-reinforced fin-design wheels; both parts are black. Because grip is deliberately reduced, where they're fitted changes how the car handles: on the front they sharpen turn-in, split front-and-rear they give more balanced cornering, and on the rear alone they help shorten the car's jumps off ramps. The 26mm tires are a hard compound and need to be pushed firmly onto the wheels to seat.

This fin-wheel set sits alongside three related small-diameter options: 15541 uses a narrower, non-low-profile 24mm tread on 3-spoke wheels, 15542 keeps the 26mm low-profile size but in an even harder super-hard compound on Y-spoke wheels, and 15544 goes larger with a 31mm tire on dish wheels. It's listed as fitting nearly every Tamiya chassis generation, from Type 3 through Super-II, VS, VZ and ME, though some chassis or bodies may need modification.
