A set of small-diameter, low-friction narrow tires (24mm) intended for tuning a car's top speed and lowering its center of gravity. The matching 3-spoke wheels are molded in carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, which helps them keep their shape and resist deforming or bouncing after the car lands from a jump. Both tires and wheels are black.
Unlike the low-profile 26mm sets 15534 and 15542, this tire skips the low-profile shaping in favour of a plain narrow 24mm tread, trimming both diameter and width to cut rotating mass and drop the car's centre of gravity. It shares its 24mm size and 3-spoke wheel design with 15543, but that set uses a super-hard compound and is built specifically for Super X and Super XX chassis, whereas this low-friction version is listed as fitting nearly every Tamiya chassis generation, from Type 3 through Super-II, VS, VZ and ME, though some chassis or bodies may need modification.
