Beyblade X Gear Bits Guide

Some Beyblade X Bits cut their gear teeth longer than the standard set. The G family — GF Gear Flat, GN Gear Needle, GR Gear Rush, GB Gear Ball — keeps the standard twelve-point tooth count but extends the gears down to the bottom of the tip, so the Bit engages the Xtreme rail over a taller band and picks it up harder on an Xtreme Dash. The one Bit actually documented with more teeth rather than longer ones is Accel: community references count its gears at sixteen against the standard twelve. What extra gears are for

The Xtreme rail is a toothed ring. A taller gear band on the Bit is more tooth in contact with the rail — more chances to mesh and accelerate. The cost is friction: a Gear Flat will usually burn spin faster than a plain Flat doing the same travel. That is why Gear Needle (stock on UX-06 Leon Crest 7-60GN) can still be a defence Bit — Needle’s plant plus rail recovery after a hit, not a full attack dash. Gear Rush is Rush’s attack line with the same extended pickup. Gear Ball tries to keep a stamina shape while still catching the rail. Accel takes the other route — sixteen gears against the standard twelve, on a flat-cropped tip — and is the “speed up, then settle” variant already named in the attack Bits guide.

How to test without a ranking

Same Blade, same Ratchet, Flat versus Gear Flat, or Needle versus Gear Needle, same stadium. You are asking whether the extra rail pickup is worth the stamina you lose.
