ZWQ S100s Baize 2.0 Mod Guide: Magazines & What Fits
The ZWQ S100s Baize 2.0 is the entry-level version of ZWQ's S100s platform, and the blaster most people actually land on when they search for a ZWQ S100. It is also where the model number is the least reliable guide to what fits, because ZWQ has sold several different blasters under names beginning S100. Getting that straight is worth more than any single upgrade, so this guide starts there.
Stock performance / design: The 2.0 replaces the Hi-Spec's CNC aluminium internals with lightweight nylon, dropping weight without changing what the blaster does. ZWQ rates 300 FPS as a safe operating zone — a ceiling rather than a measured muzzle velocity, so treat it as headroom, not the number you will chronograph. The important change is at the magwell: the 2.0 uses ZWQ's current wide magazine, the same format the ZWQ S400 uses, where the original S100s had a proprietary magazine of its own.
Which S100 do you actually own?
Four names circulate, and they are not interchangeable:
- ZWQ S100 "War Saint" — the original 2021 platform. Covered by the ZWQ S100 mod guide and the archived first-look review. Its parts are the ones catalogued as S100 parts.
- ZWQ S100S "Beast" — an older catalogue name from the same family. Mentioned here only so you can recognise it; it is not the blaster this guide covers.
- ZWQ S100s "Baize" (Hi-Spec) — CNC aluminium internals, and a proprietary S100s magazine with a bolt lock that prevents dry-firing and signals an empty magazine.
- ZWQ S100s Baize 2.0 — this guide. Nylon internals, and the wide S400-format magwell. ZWQ's own parts listings sometimes call it the S100s V2.
If you own the Hi-Spec Baize rather than the 2.0, the magazine section below does not apply to you, and that is the single most expensive assumption to get wrong on this platform.

That is a deliberately short table. The 2.0 is a recent platform and the catalogue has not yet grown a full parts ecosystem around it, so the honest answer to "what can I upgrade" today is the magazine, the muzzle and the ammunition — not the internals.
Parts that look like they fit, and do not
Because four blasters share a model number, several nearby parts read as compatible and are not. None of the following are catalogued for the Baize 2.0:

Recommended mods & why
- Buy the wide magazine, not the Talon one. The 2.0's magwell takes ZWQ's wide format, so an S400 owner's existing wide magazines carry straight over — that shared format is the practical reason to own both. Talon magazines from a Worker or Dart Zone platform will not feed it.
- Load half-length darts only. The wide magazine takes Stefan short darts; full-length darts will not feed. Our half-darts guide covers what that changes about capacity and flight.
- Choose the muzzle from a chronograph reading. ZWQ rates the BCAR Short V2 effective to 250 FPS and the blaster's safe zone at 300. Those are not the same number, so measure what yours actually produces rather than assuming the ceiling — see our BCAR guide.
- Treat the dart as a tuning variable. ZWQ notes the BCAR Short V2 performs best with bamboo darts rather than standard foam, so ammunition moves the result more here than on most platforms. Change one variable at a time and re-chrono after each.
- Do not go looking for a spring upgrade yet. No S100s-specific main spring is catalogued here. The 1.5 and 2.0 figures you will find online belong to the original Hi-Spec Baize, not this nylon version, and the S400 springs are S400 parts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the ZWQ S100s Baize 2.0 the same blaster as the ZWQ S100?
No. The S100 War Saint, the S100S Beast, the S100s Baize Hi-Spec and the S100s Baize 2.0 are different blasters sharing a model number. Parts catalogued for one are not automatically parts for another, and the magwell changed on the 2.0.
Which magazine fits the S100s Baize 2.0?
ZWQ's wide-format magazine, the same one the S400 uses — the 10-dart wide body listing names the S100 and the S100s V2 explicitly. Half-length Stefan darts only, and Talon-pattern magazines will not feed this magwell.
Does the 2.0 shoot slower than the Hi-Spec because it is nylon?
The material change is about weight rather than output. ZWQ rates 300 FPS as the safe operating zone, and the shop describes it as performing comparably to the Hi-Spec in the field while being lighter to carry and swing.
Can I fit a stronger spring to the S100s Baize 2.0?
Not from parts catalogued here. There is no S100s-specific main spring in the current range, and the S400 springs are quoted against the S400. The figures circulating online belong to the original Hi-Spec Baize.
Will my ZWQ S400 magazines work in it?
Yes, if they are the wide-body format rather than Talon magazines fed through the S400 magwell flare. That shared format is what makes running both platforms together straightforward.
